One Christmas book, written for you
You bring the idea. We write the book. Here’s what lands in your inbox.
One custom Christmas novel
About 40,000 words. One full story, beginning to end, with the holidays at its heart.
A complete first draft
Basic edits already done, so you start from a clean draft instead of a messy one.
Written to your brief
Your genre, your tropes, your idea. You tell us the story you want, and that’s the story we write.
Matched to your pen name
Writing under a pen name? Send us a book or sample and we’ll match its style as closely as we can.
A Word file in your inbox
We send it as a .docx, ready to open, edit and make your own.
3 working days from your brief
The clock starts when we receive your brief. Three working days later, your book arrives.
Three steps to your Christmas book
No calls, no back-and-forth. Order, fill in one short form, and wait for the good news.
Order your book
One order is one Christmas book. Check out on plotprose.com in US dollars, billed in ZAR through Yoco.
Send us your brief
Once payment clears, we email you a short brief link. Tell us your genre, tropes, your idea or blurb, the pen name to match, heat level, POV and tense, setting, names and anything else.
Unwrap your book
Your book lands in your inbox as a Word .docx file, 3 working days after we receive your brief.
The clock starts when your brief lands
Working days are Monday to Friday, not counting South African public holidays.
Your 3 working days start when we receive your brief, not on your order date.
What it is, and what it isn’t
We like happy endings, so here’s exactly what you’re getting.
It is
- A complete first draft of one Christmas novel, about 40,000 words
- Basic edits done
- Written to your genre, tropes, idea and pen name
- Ready for your own editing pass
It isn’t
- A full developmental edit
- A line edit
- A proofread
- A finished book you can publish without reading it first
Think of it as a big head start: the whole story is there, start to finish. Give it your own editing pass, add your voice where you want it, and then it’s ready for your readers.
Before you unwrap it
When does the 3-working-day clock start?
The day we receive your brief, not the day you order. Once your payment clears, we email you a link to a short brief form. As soon as your brief reaches us, the clock starts, and your book arrives 3 working days later. The sooner you send it, the sooner you get your book.
What do I need to tell you?
Your genre, your tropes, and your idea or a short blurb (a few lines is plenty). You can also tell us the pen name it should match, heat level, POV and tense, setting, character names, and anything else you’d like. The brief form walks you through it.
Can you match my pen name?
Yes, we’ll aim for it. Tell us the pen name and send a link to a book or sample written under it, and we’ll match its style as closely as we can. No pen name yet? No problem. We’ll write in a style that suits your genre.
What genres do you write?
Most fiction genres. Romance and cozy Christmas stories are a natural fit. If you have something else in mind and aren’t sure, ask us first at info@plotprose.com.
How long is the book, and what format is it?
About 40,000 words, one complete story from start to finish. It arrives as a Word .docx file, sent to the email address on your order.
What counts as a working day?
Monday to Friday, not counting South African public holidays. Weekends and public holidays don’t count toward your 3 working days.
I have another question. Who do I ask?
Write to us at info@plotprose.com and we’ll help you out.
