The Series

Wilder Mountain rises out of the Bitterroot Range in western Montana like a promise that has been waiting four generations to be kept. Four thousand two hundred acres of pine and patented mining claim, accessed by a single dirt road called No Road that washes out every spring and that nobody in Hollow Creek will drive at gunpoint. On it lives the only outlaw family in this valley that has never asked permission — five brothers under the patriarch Knox Wilder, sons of Pat and Esme, raised on five rules and the chisel that carves a woman’s name into a doorframe when she has decided to stay.

A woman on the run from a stalker collapses on the patriarch’s porch in the first snow. A journalist comes to expose the family and is hunted, with a safeword, across a meadow. A silenced pastor’s daughter is handed a three-word note across a Mercantile counter. A pregnant woman arrives with the enemy’s baby and is claimed at the gate. And a Reilly daughter crosses her own family’s cattle guard to end the feud by marriage. Each book stands alone, ends in HEA, and ratchets a generational blood feud one notch tighter — resolving on the morning of the equinox, in the same hour a baby is born on the great-room floor of a 1912 lodge.

Written in dual first-person present tense, every book delivers high-heat instalove with named, consent-led kinks (praise, primal, breeding, vow-coded claim) and the brand promise the lane is built on.

Four days later, in her wedding-rehearsal dress, June walks down her father’s aisle in the wrong direction, to the bottom of No Road, where Reed waits in a green truck with the engine off.

Mick Reilly decided a year ago that she knew too much. She survived a staged car accident. She has been hiding for fifteen months. The Wilders are her last option.

Bishop Wilder is the medic of the mountain, taught by his grandmother Yvette, who delivered six hundred forty-three babies in this valley. He has not had a woman in his bed in seven years. He hovers his hand a half-inch above Tally’s belly at the gate, asks may I, and waits for her nod before he touches her. By dawn the family knows three truths they have been chasing for three years: Mick killed Pat Wilder, Mick tried to kill Tally, and the baby Bishop has decided to deliver will carry the name Patrick.

Wilder Than Blood brings the series’ breeding-kink signature — pregnancy-respecting, future-promise-coded, with Bishop’s hand on her belly from the gate forward. She made it in her mother’s bedroom in her father’s house in Stevensville, with her brother Mick in the house, and drove out at four forty-seven on the autumn equinox — the same evening her mother’s elder brother, Hank Halloran, was watching No Road for her arrival.

Wolfe Wilder is twenty-nine, the youngest of the brothers. He has never been the man who married a woman his brother chose, or the man who closed a feud his father started. He is about to be both, before the aspens turn. He meets her at the gate; he sleeps on her bedroom floor the first night with his hand reaching up to find hers under the covers. I have agreed to marry her, Wolfe thinks. I have not agreed to own her. That is the difference between my father’s house and hers, and I will spend the rest of my life proving it.

Wilder Than Vows closes the series with its highest-stakes book. Mick Reilly comes up No Road and dies in the dirt at the bottom of the road; Patrick Bishop Wilder is born on the great-room floor the same morning. Wolfe carves Margot Halloran Wilder into a piece of cedar at the southwest ridge, and the family laughs together on the lodge porch for the first time since 1996.
