Dark reads are having a moment, and they are far harder to write than they look — too soft and readers feel cheated, too far and you lose them entirely. Three days: day one we outline, day two we write together live, day three we critique chapter one out loud with honest feedback. Along the way we talk consent lines, content warnings, morally grey leads who stay compelling instead of merely awful, and how to deliver the intensity this reader came for without tipping into shock for its own sake.
